At Move to Rest, we see a late night movement practice as an antidote to our fast-paced modern lifestyles. We live in disregulated, overstimulated urban environments which are often out of sync with our natural rhythms, affecting cycles of sleep, wake, appetite, and other biological processes.

We target one piece of this: The impact of good sleep on the quality of life. We use a movement practice to switch out of nervous system overdrive into the parasympathetic response needed for rest and digest at the end of a day. Our proposition is less external stimulation, more connection.

Starting with ourselves.

The Science

“Trying to get good sleep while you’re stressed out is like trying to make a half-court shot while blindfolded.”
